May is National Huntington’s Disease Awareness month and National Brain Awareness
month. The Illinois Chapter of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America
(HDSA) is holding its 7th Annual Team
Hope – Walk for a Cure at 10 AM at the beautiful Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton, Illinois.
Be sure to keep this date open so that you can participate in this worthy event.
If you have a love for the outdoors and/or want to make a difference in the lives
of so many people suffering from this devastating disease, then this is the place for you!
Participants may walk, jog, or bike ride the trail.
Participants will collect pledges/donations for each mile completed and prizes will
be awarded to the top five families/individuals raising the most donations.
The money raised by this event will go to help find a cure for Huntington’s Disease and to provide services for
HD patients and their families in our area.
